TIP #1 - LIFT WEIGHTS TO INCREASE  CALORIE BURNING 24/7




Lifting weights increases your lean muscle mass, which in turn increases your basal metabolic rate (the amount of energy you burn at rest).
  
TIP #2 - SET REALISTIC & SPECIFIC GOALS WITH A TIME LINE




Setting goals is an excellent way of maintaining motivation. It gives you a focus and purpose to each training session. Remember written down goals are much more likely to be achieved and realistic goals set with a specific outcome to be achieved by a certain date again are even more likely to be achieved.






















TIP #3 - CUT EMPTY CALORIES




Empty calories are foods high in calories with little or no nutritional value, i.e lollies, soft drink, etc. If you eat these foods, it means that your body must eat more other foods with nutrition on top of that to meet its nutritional needs. All these calories add up to make weight loss impossible and weight gain likely.





















TIP #4 - NEVER FOOD SHOP ON AN EMPTY TUMMY





If you go shopping on a full stomach, you are much more likely to buy healthy foods than if you're hungry. The less "junk food" in the house, the less you will be tempted!!















TIP #5 - BE CONSISTENT WITH YOUR DIET & EXERCISE




The fact of the matter is, it takes at least 3 weeks of training and healthy eating to undo 1 week of not enough exercise and poor eating. This means that if you slip in a bad week more than every 3 weeks you will either stay the same or even go backwards. Consistency is the key here!!
